Central Hotels In Madrid Spain

Staying at a hotel in the center of Madrid is probably the best way to experience the Spanish capital. Centrally located hotels in Madrid do suffer a bit from noise pollution, but to really put your finger on the pulse of this Spanish metropolis, you really have to stay near the action. In fact, not all hotels in the Madrid city center suffer from noise or traffic, and often you can just turn the corner to find a quiet street full of tapas bars, unique boutiques, and music venues.

The dead center of Madrid is Puerta del Sol, officially “Kilometer Zero” in Spain from which all Spanish highway distances are measured. Hotels in Puerta del Sol or withing a few blocks of it include the Hotel Quo(****), The Hotel Moderno(***), and Hotel Santander(**). A little bit further down the road around Plaza Isabell II (a 30 second walk to the Royal Palace) you’ll find Hotel Opera(***)…
