The Silken Puerta America is one of Madrid’s most architecturally distinctive hotels. With an ultra modern façade painted orange, yellow, red, purple and blue and with words in different languages and alphabets, and a glass elevator that runs along the front exterior of the hotel, it’s hard to miss the Puerta de America Hotel when driving past it on the M30, one of Madrid’s major highways.

True to its luxury hotel classification, the Puerta America has a gym, spa, swimming pool, bar, ultra modern conference rooms, coffee bar, restaurant, garden and sauna. This hotel is a must see for contemporary art lovers as each floor has a different design and style. The only setback to the Puerta America Hotel is that it’s not in the center of Madrid. Factor in a minimum of half an hour to get to any of the city’s tourist sites by public transportation.
