Wellington Hotel

Located in the same prestigious neighborhood and even the same street as
the Adler Hotel, the Wellington Hotel is nonetheless a few blocks closer to all
of Madrid’s tourist attractions, and a short,
pleasant walk away from the Retiro
Park
and Puerta de
Alcalá.

The beautiful building that houses the Wellington was built in 1952 with the sole
purpose of serving as a luxury hotel.
And serve its purpose it has, hosting the likes of Grace Kelly, Graham
Greene, Ernest Hemingway, Severo Ochoa, the Dukes of Wellington and the Spanish
royal family. The hotel has 261 rooms, 5
suites and 2 presidential suites, all of which have tailored, linen bed sheets
and high, elegant ceilings.

The Wellington
offers its patrons a business center, equipped with computers, high speed
Internet and laser printers, outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, in-room massage
services, in-house laundry service and a hairdresser. The hotel also has a piano bar and English
bar, and three restaurants: La Llave de Oro, for casual dining, Goizeko, which
serves Basque haute cuisine, and Kabuki Wellington, specializing in sushi.
